Welcome to the Coastal Commuters ride-matching site for coastal Georgia!

Coastal Commuters promotes carpooling, mass transit, bicycling and walking. Replacing single-occupancy vehicle trips with one or more of these transportation methods can help reduce congestion, reduce demand for parking, and improve air and water quality. Plus you can save money by not driving alone!

Ride-matching and commute calendar

Want to Carpool? – Sign up now to begin the ride-matching process. Once you establish a carpool in this ride-matching system, your carpool trips will be automatically logged in the Commute Calendar. You can also see how much money you’ll save and how much of pollutants and other transportation-related emissions you’ll avoid producing by not driving alone. Look around at your destination to see if preferential parking locations have been dedicated to carpoolers.
Transit riders, bicyclists, and walkers – You too can see your contribution to pollution avoidance. Simply sign up now and use the Commute Calendar on this site to log the trips for which you used mass transit, bicycled, or walked. Your savings achievement totals can be viewed under the "My Profile" tab, once you sign up and begin logging trips.

Participation in Coastal Commuters programs, such as by carpooling, riding the bus, biking, or walking to or from work, and use of the Emergency Ride Home (ERH) program is an individual decision. Participants are completely responsible for the operation of carpools and participation in any Coastal Commuters program. COASTAL COMMUTERS, THE CHATHAM COUNTY-SAVANNAH METROPOLITAN PLANNING COMMISSION, AND EMPLOYERS ACTING AS ITS PROMOTIONAL PARTNERS SHALL HAVE NO RESPONSIBILITY OR LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS, EXPENSES, OR DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY INDIVIDUAL'S PARTICIPATION IN A CARPOOL OR ERH PROGRAM OR FROM ANY INDIVIDUAL’S DECISION TO RIDE THE BUS, BICYCLE, OR WALK.
