iCarpool was conceived
at a gas pump. The founders were greatly influenced by news about global warming
and dependency on oil. Rising prices at the gas pump, traffic congestion problems
together with the environmental concerns triggered the idea of iCarpool. When the
founders looked at existing solutions, they realized the solutions left much to
be desired. They decided to use their expertise in software to develop a solution
which enables new scenarios through sustained innovation and creates an opportunity
for a grass roots movement. The solution they developed is iCarpool.
Today, iCarpool is one of the fastest growing carpool networks worldwide. iCarpool
also provides tools to manage and promote alternative transportation helping CTR
programs significantly. iCarpool is owned by Interact Soft Inc which was founded
in 2006. Interact Soft Inc is a WA, USA based regular corporation which is privately
held.

Krishnamurthy, Founder
Lakshmi has been in the software
field for more than a decade. She has worked in diverse roles and held varying levels
of responsibilities - from design and development to project management and architect.
This makes her breadth of experience very rich and diverse. The last company she
worked for (up to 2006) was Microsoft Corp.
She holds a MS (Computer Science)degree from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland,
OH.
Amol Brahme,
Technical Advisor
Amol has been involved in the technology
field since 1994. Amol focuses on strategic technical direction for iCarpool including
technology, scalability, design and development. Amol holds a Masters in Computer
Science from University of Pune, India.
